Review transactions and deposits

View and create custom exports of your transactions and deposits with Lightspeed Payments, using Transactions and Deposits.

Note: If you're using NuORDER Payments, check out the NuORDER Payments section of Track and manage your payments.

Access transactions and deposits

From the left navigation menu, go to Payments > Transactions and Deposits.

Note: Learn about Payment History with Download a Payment History report.

Use the dropdown menu in the upper-left corner to choose the currency (if applicable).

Go to the Payments tab to see transaction details, the Payouts tab to see deposits, or the Overview tab (default) to see a short list of both.

Buyers without payment methods

Review the Buyers without payment methods report to identify users who may need reminders to add payment information, as well as trends or patterns in user behavior that could indicate issues with the payment setup process. Using these insights can improve buyer experience and support smoother transactions.

In the upper-right corner, select Buyers without payment methods to download a CSV file with these details for all buyers:

  • Buyer full name
  • Buyer email
  • Company name
  • Card associated to profile?
  • Bank account associated to profile?

If the buyer has a credit card or bank account, a Y appears in that column.

Brands can add a credit card on behalf of the buyer:

  1. Confirm that you’re authorized to add the card on behalf of the card holder and that you can charge payments to the card on orders.
  2. Edit the Buyer contact.
  3. Select Add Credit Card.
  4. Follow the steps provided in Add and manage credit cards

Transactions

The Payments tab displays details for each transaction. You can customize this view:

  • Use the Filters dropdown menu to filter by Date or Status.
  • Go to filtered tabs: Successful, Refunded, Failed, or Canceled.
  • Select the arrow to the right of Date to adjust the sort.
  • Enter a value in the Search field to locate a transaction by Payment method, Order ID, or Amount.

Note: The buyer's email and the name of the retailer is listed in parenthesis under User

When reviewing the Payment details page, if your brand accepts payments in currencies other than your brand’s legal entity’s currency, then those transactions are listed with their respective currency, as well as the amount in the brand’s currency (in parentheses).

Note: Contact our Support team if you’d like to allow payments from multiple currencies.

Payments export

Select Export to download a file with the list of Payments.

Choose the Date Range: Month-to-date, Year-to-date, Last month, Last year, or a Custom range.

You can either download all information or use the Select Columns dropdown menu to select Custom, and then choose which information you want included. If you're choosing your columns, you have the options to Select All or Deselect All columns.

If Apply status and search filters to this export is selected, the export will include any adjustments you made to the Payments table view.

When you're ready, select Export.

Deposits

The Payouts tab displays details for each deposit. You can customize this view:

  • Use the Filters dropdown menu to filter by Date.
  • Select the arrow(s) to the right of Date created or Amount to adjust the sort.

Payouts exports

Payouts offers two exports. You can export a report of each deposit and you can export details of a specific deposit.

With both exports, you can either download all information or you can use the Select Columns dropdown menu to select Custom, and then choose which information you want included. If you're choosing your columns, you have the options to Select All or Deselect All columns.

Export 1: Download a file with a list of deposits from the Payouts tab by selecting Export.

Select the Date Range, and then choose a Format: Payouts (CSV) or Payouts activity, itemized (CSV). Depending on the chosen Format, you can include or exclude the below information.

Payouts (CSV)

  • ID
  • Bank name
  • Bank owner
  • Gross currency
  • Net currency
  • Fees amount currency
  • Date
  • Bank last 4
  • Gross amount
  • Net amount
  • Fees amount
  • Location name

Payouts activity, itemized (CSV)

Export 2: Download a file with the details of a specific deposit by selecting the date of a deposit on the Payouts tab, and then selecting Export from the Payout details page.

Documents

The Documents tab displays monthly Fee statements, which you can download for your records.
