This article focuses on entering units with Door Groups. To learn more about setting up Door Groups in your assortment, see here.
You've set up your door groups, and now it's time to start entering units! When your doors are grouped in the assortment grid, you have a few options for how you can work with those groups.
Collapse and expand all column groupings with one click
You can collapse and expand all column groupings in an assortment with one click to help you navigate more easily through doors, clusters, and deliveries. With Doors enabled, scroll to the right until you see your column groupings, then click the expand/collapse button in the Image column.
Enter units per individual door within a group
To enter units for a door, simply type the number of units into the door column for each item.
As you go, the blue column for the Group Total will automatically add up the total units across all doors in the group. For example if you have the doors grouped by cluster, you'll see a blue column for the sum total of all the A doors combined, the B doors combined, C doors, and so on.
Auto-distribute units across all doors in a group
If you want to plan the same number of units across all doors in a group, you can use a shortcut to assign units for all doors in one action.
In the blue Group Total column, enter the total number of units you want for that entire group of doors. For example if grouped by cluster, enter the total number of units you want across all A doors combined.
The Group Total will be divided evenly across all doors in the group, giving each door the same number of units (or as close as they can be).
Not quite the numbers you wanted? You can manually adjust any door's units and the Group Total column will update as you edit.
Copy and paste units across doors and deliveries
You can copy and paste bulk and size-level units from one door or delivery to another. You can do this at an assortment-level from the Grid view to move units for all products, or you can do this for an individual product from the CDP sizing table.
When viewing your assortment, hover over a door column and click the 3-line column menu, then select Copy Units. Click the 3-line column menu on the door or delivery you want to copy the units to, then select Paste Units. This will duplicate units at both the bulk and size level, so any allocations that have been done within a door or delivery column will be copied. Pasting into a delivery column will paste the units into the same doors they were in before.
You can also cut and paste, which takes the units from one door or delivery and moves them to another. This is useful if you don’t want to duplicate units but instead want to shift them elsewhere.
The Total column will update as you copy/cut and paste.
Note: You can only move units between the same type of column. When you copy or cut from a door column, you will only be able to paste to another door column. Similarly, when you copy or cut from a delivery column, you will only be able to paste to another delivery column.
