Create a warehouse
From the left navigation menu, go to Settings > Brand Admin > Settings > Inventory Settings.
See your active warehouses in the Manage Warehouses section of the Inventory Settings page. If you don't have a warehouse set up, a default warehouse is listed.
To add a warehouse, select Create Warehouse in the upper-right corner.
In the Create Warehouse screen, enter a warehouse name that's universally understood by admins and sales reps, and then select Submit.
After submitting, the new warehouse displays at the bottom of the list. The order of the warehouses in this section is how they display for brand users. You can edit the display order at the brand user level.
Enter additional information about the new warehouse:
- Name: Adjust the name if needed.
- Code (optional): Enter an alphanumerical value to uniquely identify the warehouse. Integrated brands typically enter a warehouse code.
- Postal Code: Enter the postal code of the warehouse's location.
- Country: Enter the country of the warehouse's location.
-
Overselling: Use this toggle to indicate if the warehouse allows overselling on inventory. This Overselling toggle and the oversell user permission must be turned on to allow a qualifying user to oversell inventory at that warehouse.
Note: Contact our Support team if you want users with the oversell permission to also be able to overorder across multiple locations and/or multiple deliveries, and to see if they overordered a product in the Product Details page (optimized in the new Product Details page) and in the Working Order views (Line Items, Sizing View, Change View, and Order Review).
When you're done, select Save.
Edit a warehouse
From the left navigation menu, return to Settings > Brand Admin > Settings > Inventory Settings. Make changes to a warehouse based on the above field explanations, and then select Save.
Delete a warehouse
Before deleting a warehouse, confirm that it's no longer assigned to a company or a brand user. Also check any active orders with the associated warehouse to ensure you have the needed inventory.
Then, to delete inactive warehouses, return to Settings > Brand Admin > Settings > Inventory Settings. Select the trash icon to the right of the warehouse.
Review the pop-up notifying you that deleting a warehouse can result in unexpected behavior from inventory and company data. You also need to re-load your company and inventory data after deleting the warehouse. To proceed with the deletion, select Confirm.
If you attempt to delete a warehouse that's still assigned to a company or a brand user, you'll receive an additional message, stating that the warehouse can't be deleted.
To resolve this, reassign those companies and brand users to a different warehouse. When no company or brand user is assigned to the warehouse, you can proceed with steps for deletion.
Assign inventory data to warehouses
Assign inventory data to warehouses with the Inventory Data upload. Either download an Inventory Data template or go to Settings > Brand Admin > Data > Inventory Data to download a spreadsheet with your existing inventory data.
If you download a CSV file, follow the steps in How to best access a CSV file in Excel to ensure your data isn't reformatted by Excel.
Use the spreadsheet's Warehouse column to assign the inventory's warehouse. When entering a warehouse name, make sure it's worded exactly as it is in NuORDER.
Save changes, and then return to the Inventory Data page in NuORDER to upload your updated spreadsheet.
Assign warehouses to companies
You can assign one or more warehouse(s) to companies individually or in bulk. Assigning a warehouse limits the visibility of the buyers at that company to only inventory in the assigned warehouse. Learn more with our Product visibility overview.
Assign warehouses individually
From the left navigation menu, go to Contacts. Use the Search Contacts field and Filters to locate a company. Open a company contact card by selecting the company's name.
Select Edit Company in the upper-right corner of the company's contact card.
Use the Default Warehouse dropdown to choose the company's warehouse, and then select Save.
To assign a company to more than one warehouse, return to the company's contact card and select (or add) an address. Specify the Warehouse and Save.
Assign warehouses in bulk
Use the Company Data upload to assign warehouses in bulk.
Either download a Company Data template or go to Settings > Brand Admin > Data > Company Data to download a spreadsheet with your existing companies.
If you download a CSV file, follow the steps in How to best access a CSV file in Excel to ensure your data isn't reformatted by Excel.
Use the Warehouse column to assign a company's default warehouse. To assign a company to more than one Warehouse, enter other warehouse names in the Address [#] Warehouse column(s) (for example: Address 1 Warehouse). When entering a warehouse name, make sure it's worded exactly as it is in NuORDER.
Save changes, and then return to the Company Data page in NuORDER to upload your updated spreadsheet.
Assign warehouses to users
