What users see
Buyers can select a product’s color swatches in the Product Gallery, linesheets, custom lists, and the Product Details page.

Approaches and tips
To manage color swatches, go to Products > Images & media.
Select the Color swatches tab.
When you add color swatches, keep the following information in mind:
- Hex values are the most common way to add color swatches. Use hex values for solid colors and swatch images for patterns.
- Add color swatches one at a time or in bulk using hex values or images.
- Swatches are assigned at the color level.
- After the first swatch, NuORDER displays the remaining swatches in alphabetical order.
- Swatches don't appear when a product has only one color.
Tip: To find colors without a swatch, use the Value filter and select None. You can also select Export to download a spreadsheet that lists each color and its color swatch value.
Hex values
To add or update one hex value:
- Select the plus (+) icon for a color.
- Select Hex Value.
- Enter the hex value.
- Select Save.
To remove the value, select the trash icon.
Tip: Use RGB to HEX Color Converter to convert RGB values to hex values.
To add or update multiple hex values, select Export to download a spreadsheet that lists all your colors.
Update the spreadsheet using these requirements:
- Use the Hex Code column to enter hex values.
- Don't include the number sign (#).
- Enter exactly 6 characters for each hex value.
- If you aren't using a NuORDER export file, enter color names in column A and hex values in column B. Save the file as XLS, XLSX, or CSV.
Return to Products > Images & media, then select Bulk upload and upload the file.
Swatch images
To add or update one swatch image:
- Select the plus (+) icon for a color.
- Select Image.
- Drag the file into the upload area.
To add or update multiple swatch images, select Bulk upload, then drag the files into the upload area.
Use these image requirements and upload tips:
- Use an image that matches the selected color. Name the file exactly after the color.
- Don't use special characters in file names. For example, name the image for black/white
blackwhite.jpg. - Accepted file type: JPG only
- Image size: 300 × 300 px
- File size: 70 KB maximum
- To preserve color accuracy, save images for the web in RGB format. Learn more about saving optimized images for the web.
- Bulk upload: Use Export to download a spreadsheet with all your colors. Use the exact color names from the spreadsheet when naming swatch image files.
- Bulk upload: You can upload up to 50 files at a time.

Q: How can I find colors without a swatch?
A: Use the Value filter and select None. You can also select Export to download a spreadsheet.
