Brands can offer products with customizable options, such as an embroidered logo, collar color, or engraved initials.
Overview
Customizations allow you to offer products with adjustable options, such as embroidering text on a backpack, specifying the color of a shirt and its collar, etc. We also support offering different prices for options on customizable products.
To activate this feature, contact your Account Manager. As part of the integration process, you will be asked to complete a detailed questionnaire with questions regarding the specifics of your customization. For example, the type of customization, the number of customization locations on a product, pricing, and more.
If you’re using images for the Customization, you will also be asked to provide a spreadsheet with the image details. See the below example.

Manage logos
Buyers can upload logo images when they configure customizable products.
Brand users with permission to manage customization logos can go to Settings > Brand Admin > Customizations > Manage Logo.
Note: Contact our Support team to manage user role permissions.
On the Manage Logos page, approve or reject uploaded logos, or edit details specific to your product customizations, such as:
- Stitch count for embroidered logos.
- Printing type.
- Weight, dimensions, or other measurements.
Select the different approval status tabs to review logos that are either Pending, Approved, or Rejected. The column headers correspond to your brand’s customization settings and may differ from the example images.
Refine the list of displayed logos with the available filters, such as Customer, and Printing type (if applicable). You can also use the Search field to locate a logo by file name.
Tip: Hover over an image in the Logo column to zoom in.
Select a logo, then choose one of the following options:
- Approve: Changes the logo’s approval status to Approved.
- Reject: Changes the logo’s approval status to Rejected.
- Download: Downloads the image.
- Edit: Opens the Edit logo details screen to update fields, like stitch count or printing type.
If you select Edit, update fields, then save with one of these options:
- Save: Saves the details without changing the approval status.
- Save and Approve: Saves the details and sets the approval status to Approved.
After the approval status changes, logos automatically move from the Pending tab to the Approved or Rejected tabs.
Customization Proofs
Brand users have the option to add a Customization Proof to orders with customized products.
A Customization Proof is a PDF file created by the brand that includes a complete and final summary of the order’s product customization details, such as artwork and design elements, based on the buyer’s selections and the brand’s requirements.
Things to keep in mind:
- The option to add a Customization Proof to an order is only available for products with customizations.
- You can only add one Customization Proof per product.
- An order can include multiple proofs if it contains multiple customized products.

Add a Customization Proof
From the left navigation menu, go to Orders and choose an order with product customizations.
Tip: Use the Contains Customizable Products filter to refine the list of orders.
Within the Order Details page, select Upload below Customization Proof to add a PDF file.
Customization Proof file requirements:
- Accepted file types: PDF only
- Max file size: 10 MB
- Only one Customization Proof file for a product
Send a Customization Proof
Send the file to the buyer directly from NuORDER, prompting them to review the Customization Proof before production begins.
From the Orders page or the Order Details page, select the kebab menu for more actions and choose Email Customization Proof.

The buyer receives an email with links to review the Customization Proof.
- View This Order: Opens the order in NuORDER, where they can download each Customization Proof individually.
- Order PDF: Downloads a PDF with order details and all attached proofs.
Replace or delete a Customization Proof
To replace a Customization Proof, delete the existing one before uploading a new file.
To delete a Customization Proof, select the trash icon next to Download file. Deleting this file is permanent and can’t be undone.
To upload a new file, follow the steps in Add a Customization Proof.
Customization Proofs on reorders
When a buyer starts a reorder of an order with a Customization Proof, that file automatically attaches to the Working Order.
The buyer can select the pencil icon to review the product customization configurations. If they edit customizations for a product with a proof, the file is removed when they save.
Note: The buyer receives a notification warning that any saved changes to the customization will remove the proof. If they review the Edit Customization screen without saving changes, the file remains attached to the order.
Customization product banner
Contact your Account Manager if you’re interested in updating the configuration of product Customizations.
Brands can hide or display the Customization banner on customizable products by going to Settings > Brand Admin > Product Catalog Settings > Product Banners.
When the Customization Banner is toggled on to Yes (default), customizable products are displayed with a Customizable banner. If you make a change, select Save.
