Invite, remove and manage buyers in your retailer profile

Once your company’s retailer profile has been set up, it’s time to invite buyers to join your organization. 

User roles 

Your retailer profile will have two types of user roles: Buyer and Admin.

Buyer

A buyer is a ‘standard’ user. They use NuORDER to connect with brands, browse the marketplace and place orders on behalf of the retailer.

Admin 

The admin role includes additional functionalities not available to buyers. This includes the ability to manage settings, edit the retailer profile, invite , remove and manage buyers and add/edit and remove locations.

Invite buyers to join your retailer profile

To invite a new buyer to join your organization, navigate to Settings on your main menu, and then select Buyers

On the Buyers page, select Invite buyer.

A modal will display on your screen, where you can enter the email of the buyer you want to invite. 

Once you enter their email and select the Invite buyer button, your invite has been sent! The buyer will receive an email with an invitation to join your retail organization on NuORDER.

You’ll see their name added to the list of Buyers on the invited tab. If you change your mind and want to cancel your invite, you have the option to select Cancel invite in the row next to their name.

A confirmation modal will display on your screen. Select Cancel invite to confirm your action.

Remove buyers to join your retailer profile

If a buyer is no longer associated with your organization, you can remove them as a buyer from your retailer profile.

Navigate to the Buyers page, where you’ll find a list of all the existing buyers in your organization. Find the buyer you want to remove and select the delete icon next to their details.

A modal will display asking you to confirm the action. Select Remove buyer.

A toast message will confirm that the buyer has been removed from your retailer profile. Once removed the buyer will no longer be a member of your retailer profile and will not be able to view any orders that have been linked to your retail organisation. You will still need to reach out to your brands to remove this user from the company record as the brand control’s who is on the company record. 

Changing a buyer to an admin (or vice versa)

When a user is invited to join a company’s retailer profile, they must be added as a buyer first. Once they join, the existing admin of that account has the ability to change them to an admin role.

To do this, navigate to the Buyers page, and find your buyer in the list. Select the Role dropdown next to their name, and then select Admin.

A confirmation modal will display. Select Confirm.

Similarly, if you want to change a user’s role from Admin to Buyer, navigate to the Buyers page and select the dropdown next to their name in the Role column. Select Buyer, and when the modal displays, select Confirm. Your profile must always have at least one Admin role so that your organisation is never without an ‘owner.’

Archiving a retailer profile

If you no longer want your retailer profile to be active, the last remaining admin on the profile can archive it by contacting support. However, you need to first ensure that:

1. You remove all buyers from the account

2. If there is  more than one admin, you must first change their role to Buyer and then remove them

Once all Buyers are removed, you can contact support who will archive your retail organization and retailer profile. This will mean all access to the marketplace will be revoked and you will no longer have access to manage a team of buyers on NuORDER.
