Retailer profile overview

A retailer profile is your organization’s shared profile on NuORDER. It brings your buyers, company details, and orders together in one place so your team can collaborate and shop as a single business.  If you have been prompted to create a retailer profile on NuORDER either as part of your onboarding or via email, then it’s mandatory for you to do so.

With a retailer profile, your team can claim orders for the profile so they are only visible to members of the profile, access the NuORDER platform, connect to brands as one company, manage who’s part of your organization (admins only), and keep your company’s information organized and accurate across the platform.

What’s a retailer profile?

A retailer profile represents your retail organization on NuORDER. Instead of each buyer placing orders and sending connection requests from their own separate profile, your business has one shared profile that the whole team uses.

Your retailer profile includes your company information, locations, and all the buyers who shop on behalf of your organization. It gives your team a unified presence across the marketplace, reducing duplicate profiles and connection requests, making it easier for brands to understand who they’re working with.

Why do you need a retailer profile?

A retailer profile unlocks all the tools you need to view and manage your team of buyers and their activity on NuORDER. It also unlocks your organization’s ability to shop, browse, connect, and order on the NuORDER Marketplace. Here’s what it enables:

Access NuORDER and connect to brands as one team

A retailer profile is required to browse products, send connection requests, and place orders on NuORDER. Without one, you won’t be able to use the marketplace. Every buyer on your retailer profile can view the marketplace, send connection requests on behalf of your organization, and place orders to open brands when they are invited to join your organization. Brands can view your profile and  approve  one unified retailer connection request instead of multiple  separate buyer requests

Invite and manage your buying team

Keep your organization up-to-date by managing who’s part of your retailer profile. This enables you to:

  • Invite existing NuORDER buyers into your team.
  • Select the role you want each buyer to have
  • Remove buyers who no longer belong to your organization.

This gives your team a single shared environment to shop and order from, instead of each buyer working independently.

View orders across your retail organization

Any new orders placed by buyers in your organization can be claimed against your retailer profile—so it will always be visible to members of your profile. This means order history stays with your business and remains visible to you even when the person who placed the order leaves the company or is removed from the company record by the brand.

Any member of the retailer profile can view claimed orders via the orders list, which includes the order number and status. Buyers who are also connected to the brand will be able to open the full order details. Buyers not directly connected to the brand can access the order list from the Company orders widget, but can't open the order details.

Improve your business data and marketplace presence

Using a retailer profile keeps your company information consistent across NuORDER. This helps reduce duplicate profiles, improves connection approvals from brands, and strengthens your presence on the marketplace. It also helps NuORDER recommend more relevant brands, products, and insights to support your buying process.
