Brand update: September 2025

In this release, we’re improving security with multifactor authentication updates! We’re also allowing Brand users to send automated emails to buyers for payment method reminders, and adding a new status option to Assortments Order Intents! 

Multifactor authentication for Brand Admins

NuORDER by Lightspeed uses MFA to add an extra layer of security to a user's account to prevent unauthorized access. Using MFA reduces the risk of fraud and identity theft, and it protects businesses from attacks that may compromise data.

As part of an increased security initiative, starting October 2nd, we’re enforcing multifactor authentication (MFA) for Brand Admins before accessing NuORDER.

Automated email to Buyers to request a payment method

If no payment method is on file, or the payment method has expired, Brand users now have the option to select a checkbox under Choose payment method later that automatically sends the Buyer an email (upon order submission) requesting a valid payment method for the order.

New Status option in Assortments Order Intents

We’ve added a new AOI status column on the Assortments Order Intents (AOI) page, which includes the following statuses: Approved, Success and Processed. You’ll be able to see the status on the AOI home page, as well as in the summary row of the detailed view. This means you can update an assortment’s status between Success, Approved and Processed at any time. 

Brands with an ERP integration will be able to decide if they want to receive all the AOIs in their ERP or only the approved ones by customizing their integration. The status will automatically change to Processed once the AOI is successfully sent to your ERP. 

This update gives you clearer visibility into the progress of your assortments and makes it easier to manage Order Intent workflows.
