FAQ

Q: What is the revamped Marketplace?

A: The Marketplace is a new shopping and ordering experience within NuORDER, built for how modern retailers buy. It brings together your connected brands and new public brands in one centralized, seamless view. Products are in season and include Immediate, Future and Prebook availability, depending on the brand’s configuration. Public brands are instantly shoppable—no connection requests or approvals required.

Q: Why should I use the Marketplace?

A: Marketplace makes cross-brand shopping easier than ever by consolidating everything into one streamlined experience:

  • One cart. Every brand. Shop and order from multiple brands in one place.
  • Buy what’s ready now. Products offer Immediate, Future and Prebook availability, depending on the brand’s configuration.
  • Discover new brands. Shop your current brands and discover new public ones where no connection request is needed.
  • Fewer clicks, faster orders. A side-by-side product view and centralized cart simplify your buying process.

Q: Who can access the Marketplace?

A: Marketplace is currently available to beta retailers in the U.S. transacting in USD. Additional countries and currencies will be added in future phases.

Q: What types of products will I see?

A: The Marketplace currently includes apparel and accessories brands. Products offer Immediate, Future and Prebook availability, depending on the brand’s configuration.

Q: What if my preferred category hasn’t launched yet?

A: You can still use Marketplace to shop with your existing connected brands and discover open brands across other categories. As more open brands onboard in your category, you’ll gain access to a wider assortment.

Q: Will I see brands I already work with?

A: Yes. You’ll see both:

  • Connected brands: the brands you already work with and their products.
  • Public brands: new brands you can shop from instantly with no prior connection.

Q: Can I place orders with new brands right away?

A: Yes. You can order immediately from any public brand. After the order is placed and approved, that brand becomes a connected partner in your portal.

Q: Do I need to submit a connection request for new brands?

A: No. Marketplace removes that extra step. Ordering from a public brand automatically initiates the connection after approval.

Q: Is there a cost to use the Marketplace?

A: No. The Marketplace is included as part of your NuORDER or Lightspeed Retail subscription.

Q: Does this replace the NuORDER portal?

A: No. The Marketplace enhances your current NuORDER experience. You’ll still have full access to your brand portals and workflows. Marketplace simply gives you a faster, easier way to discover and shop more brands.

Q: What if I’m a Lightspeed POS retailer?

A: Marketplace orders placed through NuORDER can sync directly back to your Lightspeed POS, helping reduce manual entry and streamline inventory management.
