Blast Ramp integration

Blast Ramp has an API integration that we have developed in-house at NuORDER to connect the two systems.

The flow of data includes:

  • Products - from Blast Ramp to NuORDER

  • Customers - from Blast Ramp to NuORDER

  • Inventory - from Blast Ramp to NuORDER

  • Orders - from NuORDER to Blast Ramp

Turnaround Time

Your Blast Ramp integration will take approximately 8-10 weeks from the project kickoff to completion. This does not mean we'll be spending 8-10 weeks writing code and syncing data, but rather this is the complete time to get through all stages of the rollout. The part of the process that takes the most time is prepping your Blast Ramp data for the integration. Once this is complete, testing and final review should only take a couple weeks.

  • Planning and discovery sessions
  • Any preparation on your side to get your Blast Ramp data cleaned up and ready for integration
  • Testing and review in the NuORDER sandbox
  • Adjustments
  • Final review and sign-off
  • Transfer from sandbox to production

Who's Involved From Your Team

  • Your Blast Ramp Administrator, or someone technical who is familiar with your specific Blast Ramp setup.
  • Sales or Operations Manager who understands your business, how it is structured and how the reps sell.

What you'll be doing:

  • Answering questions about your specific Blast Ramp setup and sales process.
  • Providing detailed information about data fields you are using in BlastRamp, and parameters on which items/customers should be synced to NuORDER.
  • In some cases, you might need to make some bulk adjustments (e.g. adding a new field) to your data in Blast Ramp so that we can achieve the best possible experience for your users in NuORDER.
  • Reviewing your data in the NuORDER sandbox and providing feedback.
  • Reviewing test orders in Blast Ramp and providing feedback.
  • Reviewing and validating again as any adjustments are made to the feeds.
  • Providing the final sign-off to go live.
  • Reviewing the data feeds day-to-day after you go live to make sure everything is looking correct.
  • Working with us to address any issues that may arise once your team is using NuORDER in the live sales environment.

Who's Involved From the NuORDER Team:

  • An Integration Manager who will be your day-to-day point person, manage the project and guide you through the rollout from start to finish.
  • An Integration Engineer who will configure the data feeds with BlastRamp.

What we'll be doing:

  • Asking a lot of questions about your specific Blast Ramp setup and sales process.
  • Customizing the integration scripts based on your specific data fields and business rules.
  • Syncing test data into the NuORDER sandbox.
  • Syncing test orders into Blast Ramp.
  • Making sure your team is updated throughout the process and addressing delays that might occur on either side.

What's Supported: Products (Items)

Capabilities

Creating & updating items: Our system will be able to identify which items are new and which already exist in our system.

Pricing & Multiple currencies: We will sync a default wholesale and retail price for each currency. Additional levels of pricing can be supported through customer-level discounts or price sheets.

Sync parameters: You will specify "Line Lists" from Blast Ramp that you would like to sync to NuORDER. All products within those line lists will be synced.

Sync frequency: Changes to product records will be synced hourly.

Callouts

Custom fields are not supported at this time. If you have a business requirement that is not covered in the standard setup, please review this with your Integration Manager.

Sync Threshhold / Product Limit: There is a limit to the number of SKUs that can be synced to from Blast Ramp at one time. If your line list in is very large (e.g. many thousands of SKUs), you may need to divide your line list into multiple parts in Blast Ramp before you can sync to NuORDER.

Archiving/disabling products: This is not included in the product data integration at this time and will be managed directly in NuORDER.

What's Supported: Customers

Capabilities

Creating & updating customers: Our system will be able to identify which customers are new and which already exist in our system.

Multiple billing & shipping addresses are supported.

Sync parameters: Your NuORDER sync will include all "active" customers from Blast Ramp.

Sync frequency: Changes to customer records will be synced hourly, unless you are using multiple currencies (see details below).

Callouts

Buyer data (name, email address, sales rep assignment) is not included in the customer data interface and must be managed directly within the NuORDER app.

Custom fields are not supported at this time. If you have a business requirement that is not covered in the standard setup, please review this with your Integration Manager.

Multiple Currencies: If you are using multiple currencies in Blast Ramp, your sync schedule will be limited to a few times per day (instead of every hour). This is because the customer currency data lives in a different area in Blast Ramp than the standard customer integration. Pulling these additional details into NuORDER takes additional time.

Two-way customer sync is not supported at this time. Your customers must originate in Blast Ramp and be synced to NuORDER with all the necessary account codes. (This is how Blast Ramp will recognize the customer when the order is synced back in.) Bi-directional syncing for customers is on our product roadmap for future development.

Process for New Customers: When working with a new customer in NuORDER, you will need to save the order as a DRAFT. Your team will need to add the new customer record into Blast Ramp first. The customer will be sent into NuORDER on the next run. Once the customer is visible in NuORDER, the sales rep can open their draft, select the customer, fill in the buyer's name and email address, and submit the official order.

Archiving (deactivating) customers: This is not included in the customer data interface at this time and must be managed directly in NuORDER.

What's Supported: Inventory

Capabilities

Immediate quantities: You will be able to specify which inventory bucket from Blast Ramp should be synced to NuORDER:

  • ATA (Available To Allocate)
  • CIS (Current In Stock)
  • ATS (Available To Sell)

WIP (work-in-progress) inventory is not supported at this time

Warehouses: Multiple warehouses are supported. You will need to set up the warehouses in NuORDER prior to syncing your data. (Go to Admin > Brand Settings.)

Prebooking: For items that should have unlimited quantity available in NuORDER, we can achieve this in a few ways:

  • You can specify the applicable seasons in Blast Ramp, and we will apply the "prebook" flag when inventory is synced.
  • You can set parameters directly in NuORDER via the Admin section. Rules can be based on any product attributes, and you will have direct access to control and update the rules as needed.

Sync frequency: Changes to inventory quantities will be synced hourly.

What's Supported: Orders

Capabilities

Sync frequency: Orders will be synced hourly to Blast Ramp.

Order fulfillment process: Once the order has been synced to Blast Ramp, your team will take it from there per your normal approval and fulfillment process.
